Project 12: The Darksaber Calls Release Location: Phase 3 – Movie #12 (Ends 21-16) As Mandalore the Lesser’s armada gathers strength, the Darksaber begins to actively summon multiple heroes, causing dangerous divisions within the New Avengers and forcing Lady Thor, Spider Weaver, and Shazam to compete for its power — The Darksaber, locked away in the vault of Unity Tower, begins to glow and vibrate violently. It projects visions and whispers into the base, summoning those it deems worthy .Act 1 – The Blade’s Crisis The Darksaber begins to affect several heroes: Lady Thor hears it most strongly (Asgardian + warrior spirit). Spider Weaver feels a strange connection through the powers of his reality. Shazam is drawn to his raw magical energy. This creates real tension and jealousy within the team. Spectre warns that the blade is testing them — and could corrupt anyone who claims it. Meanwhile, Mandalore the Lesser sends elite strike teams (led by Jim Fett) to Earth to weaken the defenses and gather information about the Darksaber. Act 2 – Divided We Are The team falls apart as different members try to prove themselves worthy of the blade: Lady Thor undergoes ancient trials in New Asgard. Spider Weaver experiments with combining the blade’s energy with his webs. Shazam struggles with whether the blade's power would make him more like Black Adam. Act 3 – Value A massive battle erupts when Mandalore the Lesser's forces directly attack the Unity Tower to seize the Darksaber. Amidst the chaos, the blade finally chooses its temporary wielder in battle. A dramatic sequence follows where a hero wields it alongside his own powers. The Young Avengers manage to fend off the attack, but the Darksaber remains unstable. The team realizes they can't hide it forever—they must prepare for the full-scale Final Crusade that is now inevitable. Ending The heroes reconcile and grow closer despite the blade's influence. They begin final preparations for the coming war. Lady Thor tells the group: "When the real war comes... we will face it together. With blade or without blade." Scene 1 after the end credits: Mandalor the Lesser, on his flagship, smiles grimly: "They fight for my birthright. Leave them alone.
